In the pictures the Philips SHE9850 with the small clip +; coupled pretty good to me convinced. The ear-weave SHE9850 are balanced, a single driver that can play a very warm sound and goes beyond the limits that the average response in this technology.
These headphones have a small quaint properties, may play well with a lettorino how badly with another, I have no doubt the skills to be able to explain this so I'll just talk about my experiences.

The sound that comes from a SHE9850 connected to a cowon i9 is something really horrible and claustrophobic: the bass is heavy, slow, and advanced, the mids and highs seem timid not to reach. In short, a situation IEM from garbage.
With Clip + DAC (NG98) and a decent sound card (Audigy 2 ZS), the question changes and you start to think, the cap does not show major flaws and is sufficiently clean and accurate, especially in the region of mid-bass that are the core of the sound stage. I mean are not arretratissimi certainly leave much room for low-and medium-low, but the voices are clear and do not suffer.
This cap, in my opinion lacks a bit of dynamism, particularly in relation to Hippo VB (same price range, certainly higher than the Philips) and RE0, lacks substance and the speed I love so much dryness in the ear. Rather we will find a scene pesantuccia, reverb and palpable bass quite slow. For some kinds of these features are absolutely appropriate, a little 'less than they are for what I usually listen to: rock, metal, hard rock, prog.
The convenience of such an aspect is not secondaria importanza, per le mie povere orecchie è stato un trauma cercare il giusto fitting con gli inserti in dotazione e alla fine mi sono dovuta "accontentare" di tenere montati i comply foam. Tralasciando il fatto che questi vanno ad appesantire ulteriormente il suono già poco fresco di queste armature bilanciate, il problema enorme è che i comply sembrano costruiti con la pastafrolla. In nemmeno 10 giorni ne ho praticamente rovinato un paio, visto il costo non indifferente non vedo di buon occhio questo particolare.
Gli inserti in silicone infatti li ho trovati davvero troppo piccoli e mollicci, non vi è stato modo poi di montare gli ibridi sony in mio possesso e la mia serie di inserti in spugna nera (il Chinese famous vendor is not selling more now and I'm treating them like little children) because the channel is of little philips such as the Soundmagic PL50. The included carrying case is a little piece of art, aluminum inserts and draws on the body cap, very nice looking and practical I liked very much.
Finally a decent cap which should be the flagship of the range Philips certainly is I do not think is worth the price of 99 €. It is preferable to the dynamic sister SHE 9800 without a doubt, not least because here we are on enough for quality audio in a strict sense, but I do not feel to advise if it cost more than € 50.

- good bass, not very extensive but exciting
AGAINST:
- price, there are better alternatives on the market
- alti non sempre all'altezza delle aspettative, sicuramente il punto debole del range di frequenze riprodotte
- vanno pochissimo d'accordo con i lettori cowon, risultano in pratica non utilizzabili
- le ho trovate comode solo con i comply foam in dotazione, purtroppo in soli dieci giorni di uso intenso un paio si è rovinato e sostituirli non costa poco.
